 months of April &amp; May &lsquo;Filmoteca Canaria&rsquo; dedicates a cycle
  to the Hungarian film-maker M&aacute;rta M&eacute;sz&aacute;ros (Budapest,
  1931), whose films have recently been restored by the Hungarian National F
 ilm Institute so that the current viewer can enjoy in all its splendour the
  characters that feature in the work of this director who in her day was ra
 ted by the prestigious magazine <em>Film Comment&nbsp;</em>as &ldquo;an ars
 enal of film resources&rdquo;.</p><p><strong>&ldquo;DIARIO PARA MIS PADRES&
 rdquo; (DIARY FOR MY MOTHER &amp; FATHER)(1990)</strong></p><p><strong>Syno
 psis&nbsp;</strong></p><p>October 1956. Juli is unable to return to Hungary
  from Moscow because the borders arte closed. The Soviets have invaded Buda
 pest and deposed the Prime Minister Imre Nagy. J&aacute;nos participates ac
 tively in these events. When Juli finally returns, she tries to immortalize
  everything that is happening. She escapes to Austria with J&aacute;nos fea
 ring for their lives, but in the end decide to go back and is brutally exec
 uted by hanging.</p><p><strong>Entrance tickets for &lsquo;Filmoteca Canari
 a&rsquo; are put on sale at the Theatre website and at the Box-Office with
